How does it work?

Click the "Check" button on any domain to verify its availability in real-time.

How accurate are the availability checks?

Our availability checks are highly accurate. When you click "Check", we query the official domain registry to verify if the domain is truly available.

Results are cached for 1 hour to speed up repeated checks. If a domain's status changes, simply wait for the cache to expire or try again later.

How much does it cost?

2WordDomain is 100% free to use. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or premium features.

How do you make money?

We include affiliate links to domain registrars like Namecheap. When you register a domain through our links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Why can't I use numbers or hyphens?

Domain names should pass the "radio test" - if someone heard your domain name spoken aloud, would they know how to type it?

Numbers cause confusion (is it "1" or "one"?), and hyphens are often forgotten or misplaced. Stick to simple, memorable two-word combinations for the best results.

What TLDs do you support?

We currently support: .com, .ai, .io, .co, .net, .org, .app, and .dev.

Each TLD is checked against official registry servers for accurate availability.

What does "Premium?" status mean?

Some domains that appear available may be "premium" domains that registries sell at higher prices. This is common for short domains or popular words on TLDs like .io and .ai.

We flag likely premium domains so you can check the actual price before purchasing.

Do you save or sell my search data?

No. We do not store your searches or use them to register domains ourselves. Your searches are completely private.

The only data stored locally is your saved favorites (in your browser's localStorage), which never leaves your device.
